St. Jacobi Congregational Church
Leadership

Ministers:

Every member
of the congregation needs to be an active participant for a congregational church to function. Since all of God's people are called to minister in the name of Christ and to bare witness to His glory, each member of this church is called by name as a minister.

Senior Minister:

Rev. Hillary HV Bowser spent most of her childhood in the Milwaukee area. She completed college and seminary in Los Angeles, California before returning to Wisconsin. She and her husband moved to Wisconsin in 2005 to accept the call as pastor of St. Jacobi Congregational Church. Since her arrival, Rev. Bowser has appreciated the opportunity to be more actively involved in the NACCC serving as the president of the Wisconsin Congregational Minister's Association since 2007. She has also served as part of the Green Team, as  Clergy at Large for the Wisconsin Congregational Association Youth and Camp Committee, and as an active participant in the Wisconsin Congregational Theological Society.

Director of Music:

Sue Laubenheimer leads the music program which includes visiting musicians, rehearsals, organ, piano and vocal worship music. Both contemporary and traditional hymns are incorporated into our morning worship. Choir rehearsals are held on two Sunday mornings a month before the 10am worship service. Participation also includes special performances during worship services of Advent, Christmas Eve, Lent, Easter, and other special church celebrations. New members are always welcome to join the choir and share their musical talents!

Important Committees:

The SJCC Church Council
serves as part of a very special ministry of this congregational church. They represent the voices and desires of our members. They continue to move this congregation with the hope to glorify God in all of our tasks. They serve as example of how we can work together in Christ-like ministry.

The Women's Guild has been a central part of the St. Jacobi congregation for more that 90 years! This committee has helped raise funds for the congregation to maintain and enhance our place of worship.

The Visionary Committee serves as a sub committee of the Church council. This committee has worked to encourage building projects and to think about the long-term needs of the congregation. This committee was also gathered to create a future vision for the role of St. Jacobi Congregational Church in the Richfield community.

The Worship Committee serves as a resource for the pastor and music director to organize and coordinate worship services. This committee also serves as the Pastoral Search Committee when the congregation seeks a new senior minister.
